A guide to using GIMP
"What?" Thomas stopped and turned around this time. "Poison was an option? And how were you planning on acquiring poison? Were you going to say anything to me before you did it?" He walked back to her and grabbed her shoulders, and let his head drop, hanging loosely from his neck. "I am very glad you decide upon life rather than death. Now you shall live to tell your own story."
As the two continued deeper into the heavily branched path around the Dark Forest, Thomas grew more and more tense. With every little noise, his hands swiftly reached for one of his weapons. He’d have to take a deep breath and tell himself it was nothing, nothing but an animal. By this point, the sun had painted a wonderful picture in the sky, changing it from blue to different hues or orange and pink. “Please M’LAdy, let us take a break; you must be famished. In a few hour we may continue our journey in the cover of darkness.”
Cleo looked away before feeling overwhelmed with the questions. She felt his touch before she fully wrapped her arms around him. She spoke into his vest as the guilt began to take over “I didn’t know what to do, I was scared but I could never say goodbye to you. You would of cursed me at my grave” Her eyes closed as she was practically forcing the situation. She was cold and the sky was turning dark as she almost shook. “We can exit the forest around here where it’s just random lands. We won’t be in the forest but we won’t be visable” She let go of him lightly to look at him with a smile.
"Oh boy, a cop. Look, I’ve seen things that make even your job look like a joyride. In fact, your type tend to get in my way. No offense. You seem like there’s actually a brain rattling around up there but most I’ve met would lose their head if it wasn’t attached.”
Oh please, what you think you happen to be the only hunter around here? Please sweetheart calm yourself and keep the slaying to the mosters that lurk around. This is my city, who the fuck are you?
Thomas adjusted his hat once more and brushed off the dirt on the sleeve of his jacket. Instinctively, he reached at his left side, then his right, making sure he had his sword and rifle. “Alright, let’s go.” The man pulled his horse along. Each step echoed in his mind, even the steps of Cleodra were louder than normal. “How long,” he muttered. “How long had you been planning to run away?” He didn’t turn around to look at, but waited for a response. “It seems as though you’ve given this plan an awful lot of thought.”
Cleo walked as thing were silent, her horse marching along with his. Her eyes closed when he asked the question. She sighed and stood straight “At first I was going to drink poison but then I felt it wouldn’t be right…people wouldn’t of known that I was the one who controlled my ending…it would cause another war” She looked down before sighing “But I decided to live”
"You’re so rude. I’m fucking adorable, goddamnit. No idea where this ball of rage nonsense comes from—so I may have stabbed a girl one time...”
"Think it’s the first time I’ve heard it? Darling I’m a cop I’ve seen worse things then you’re little tantrums"
"My name is Officer Harrison, I was called by a complaint. Is everything okay here?"
"Wait— Are you crying? What’s going on?"
"Someone broke into my house…shh. I think they’re still here"
"Once I had a boyfriend who referred to me as a tiny ball of condensed rage. I beg to differ. Rude.”
"Yeah…wait nope I think he was right"
He let out a sigh. Thomas dropped the reins and got off his horse. “I’d feel better walking around the Dark Forest. I think we’d fare better against what lies outside it than inside.” He rubbed the horse’s neck before stepping near Cleodra’s. He held open his arms to help her down. “Just be careful as we walk, okay?”
The sun was starting to set faster and faster. At this time, they were supposed to be almost ten miles in the opposite direction, heading to the Duke. “M’Lady, if it gets too dark before we reach the other side, we will stop and rest. It isn’t good for a woman to be putting so much stress on a fragile body.”
Cleo fell into his arms before she was placed properly. She looked at the sun as her eyes widened. He had a point and for a moment she looked at him. How odd it would be for a woman to be alone with a man. Something highly forbidden. “We might have to camp tonight, no fear for I have brought a tent”
It’s okay. My people are on it. It looks worse than it is. Really.
Jesus christ! Come inside before anyone see’s you.
